Place of creation: Avants village, Monastery of Varag 1559

Brought from Western Armenia, end of 19th c. Considered to have power of presenting children, healing, rainmaking, ceasing hail. At present, stored in a specially built chapel on the territory of a private house. There is a mass pilgrimage to this gospel on the Red Sunday (second Sunday after Easter).
